2 teenage boys shot, 1 critical, in South Chicago

Two teenagers were shot, one critically, Monday morning in the South Chicago neighborhood.

The teenagers, both aged 17, were outside just before 5 a.m. in the 8100 South South Shore Drive block when two men approached them and opened fire, Chicago police said.

A boy was shot in the head and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition, police said. The other was hit in the ankle and taken to Trinity Hospital, where he is doing well.

No arrests were made.
