A man was shot dead on the Chicago Lawn

A man died after being shot on the Chicago Lawn late Wednesday, police said.

The 29-year-old man had gunshot wounds to his face and thigh when he was found by police responding to calls for shots fired at around 10:50 p.m., according to Chicago police.

He was taken from the scene of the incident in the 6300 block of South Albany Avenue to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests were made.
