ABC7 Chicago features the Pride Month town hall in addition to the 2023 Chicago Pride Parade broadcast

CHICAGO (WLS) — ABC7, the No. 1 Chicago, always celebrates pride in a big way and this year is no exception.

In addition to the two-hour live Pride Parade broadcast on Sunday, June 25, at noon, ABC 7 I-Team Consumer reporter Jason Knowles moderated a town hall featuring several members of Chicago's diverse LGBTQIA+ community. “Our Chicago: Voices of the Community” airs on abc7chicago.com, Friday, June 16, at 1:00 p.m.

Knowles led important conversations with LGBTQIA+ leaders and influencers representing various segments of society to gain their perspective on what many see as anti-gay and anti-trans laws. They discussed the impact of this law on Illinois and other states.

During “Our Chicago: Voices of the Community,” leaders provide updates on what's going on within their organizations and what initiatives they're currently leading.

Knowles did a round-robin with guests highlighting the latest plans for this year's Pride Fest and Pride Parade.
