Chicago Crime: Fireworks were thrown at a food truck on the West Side, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) — Someone set off fireworks and threw them at a food truck on the West Side Tuesday night, Chicago police said.

The incident occurred in the 3300 block of West Roosevelt Road at around 8:29 p.m., police said.

After the fireworks went off, police said the 34-year-old man inside had minor injuries to his leg. He refused medical attention at the scene.

A bomb disposal squad was deployed as a precaution.

Police said the person setting off the fireworks left before officers arrived. Area Four detectives are investigating.
