CHICAGO (WLS) — A Chicago mother has an emotional plea after her teenage daughter is killed in a shooting.
Deshawnay Yoakum died after spending several days in hospital following the Bronzeville shooting earlier this month.
The 18 year old girl is a senior at Englewood High School getting ready for her upcoming prom and graduation.
His mother said he was involved in the community, performing for the past six years at the Bud Billiken Parade.
Now, her mother says she just wants answers and someone to come forward with.
Chicago Police say no arrests have been made in the shooting that took his life.
