CPD released surveillance video of the restaurant shooting suspect

CHICAGO (WLS) — A 35-year-old woman and a 14-year-old boy have been charged in the death of a 32-year-old man who was shot dead at a West Pullman restaurant, Chicago police said Thursday.

The teen faces charges of first-degree murder, and Carlishia Hood of Chicago faces charges of first-degree murder and felony charges for contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to the CPD.

The two were arrested Wednesday in the 700 East 111th Street block after being identified as suspects in the man's Sunday night murder, CPD said.

Chicago police released a surveillance video Wednesday suspects are being sought in connection with the shooting.

The shooting occurred in the 11600 block of South Halsted Street at around 11:05 pm Sunday.

Police said the 32-year-old man, identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office as Jeremy A. Brown, was in the front room of a fast food restaurant and got involved in a physical altercation.

A male suspect then drew a gun and fired, hitting Brown in the back, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
