CHICAGO (WLS) — It's Mother's Day Festival Friday and Weekend!

Why not take Mom on a Chicago Architecture Center Cruise aboard the First Lady of Chicago! The guide shares the interesting stories behind more than 50 Chicago buildings along the Chicago River. Tours are now also offered in the evenings.

Celebrate Asia-American Pacific Islander Month by trying one of the dozens of restaurants participating in AAPI Restaurant Week! From May 13-22, try dishes from the Philippines, South Korea and more at restaurants across Chicago. You can find a list of participating locations on our website.

The new exhibition opened Friday at the National Hellenic Museum in Greektown. Beyond Antiquity features a series of drawings, paintings and digital artwork from artist John “Yanni” Fotiadis. It explores classical antiquity in Greece in the present and future. It lasts until September 30.

And at the Art Institute, a new exhibition opens on Sunday. Van Gogh and the Avant-Garde: The Modern Landscape, featuring 75 works by Vincent Van Gogh and other Impressionists who were inspired by the industrial developments in suburban Paris in the late 19th century. It lasts until September 4th.
