Martha Stewart is upholding her iconic status, this time as the cover model for the Sports Illustrated 2023 Swimsuit issue.
The 81-year-old is featured as one of the cover stars of the annual issue, alongside Kim Petras, Brooks Nader and Megan Fox, the magazine revealed Monday.
“Being on the cover (at) my age was a challenge. And I think I meet the challenge. Stewart said, speaking of a moment on the “Today” show, where he saw the final cover image for the first time.
He continued, the achievement was, for him, “proof of a good life.”
“I think we should all think about living a good, successful life and not about aging,” continues Stewart, who has authored 99 books. “The whole aging thing is so boring.”

Stewart said he took a few extra steps to be prepared.
“I didn't starve myself, but I didn't eat bread or pasta for several months. I go to Pilates every day… I live a clean life. A good diet and good exercise and healthy skin care and all that, but it's fun.
In a video interview with Sports Illustrated, Stewart shared that she is usually motivated by the salary, but this time she is motivated to show people that women her age can still look good and feel good.
“I'll be the oldest person I've ever thought to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated,” he thought to himself when he learned of the opportunity. “And I don't think much about age, but I think it's kind of historic and I better look really good.”
This swimsuit cover isn't the first time the culinary legend has made waves on the internet. When she was 78 years old, Stewart shared a glam poolside selfie on Instagram that instantly went viral.
“My pool in East Hampton is the place to be for an 89-degree day!” Stewart captioned a pouty-lip shot of herself wading in the pool at her Hamptons residence in silky mascara and shimmering pink lips. Stewart's fans compliment her youthful glow in the flirty photo. “You are always beautiful,” wrote celebrity makeup artist @kristoferbuckle.
This year, Sports Illustrated spotlighted 28 women including Petras, Nader and Fox, along with Padma Lakshmi and Olivia Dunne.
“Unholy” and “Slut Pop” singer Kim Petras has made history this year as the first openly transgender woman to win a Grammy. And now, the German-born pop artist is one of four models to grace the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2023. The outlet calls Petras a “true changemaker who uses his platform to uplift and inspire the LGBTQ+ community.” Petras posed for Yu Tsai in Los Angeles during filming.
Brooks Nader has been part of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit “family” for five straight years, per the publication. Her tenure started when she won the 2019 Swim Search casting call. Nader looked glamorous in this shot of James Macari taken in the Dominican Republic.
“Transformers” actress Megan Fox is no newbie when it comes to magazine coverage. The 36-year-old has graced the covers of Allure, Cosmopolitan, Rolling Stone and Elle albums, according to Sports Illustrated. Fox looks sultry and intense in this image taken by Greg Swales in the Dominican Republic.
