Pickwick Theater in Park Ridge, IL to maintain cinema status, can see live music with Copernicus Foundation management

PARK RIDGE, Ill. (WLS) — The Pickwick Park Ridge Theater will be transferred to interim management.

The current owner is still working to finalize a deal with the new permanent owner who is expected to take over in April.

Meanwhile, the Copernicus Foundation, a Chicago nonprofit, will merge with the Vlahakis and Loosmos Families to form Copernicus @ The Pickwick.

The building, which dates back to 1928, will retain its cinema status, but will also be able to host other entertainment, such as concerts and shows. Shows and opening shows are expected to begin in September.
