If Paris is the place for patisserie then London is the city for baked goods. The British sure know how to bake for bakery bliss, with sourdough and Portuguese tarts being the start of our London bakery tour! These are the best London bakeries to visit in 2023, the full list.
Peggy Porsche
Tucked away in the residential neighborhood of Belgravia, Peggy Porsche is my all-time favorite bakery in London if we base our judgment on appearances alone. The pretty, girly pink bakery is an Instagram shot waiting to happen, and when you step inside, you'll be spoiled for choice with even more pastels and pinks! I would recommend the sugar cookies for cuteness and delicious!
116 Ebury Street, Belgravia, London
Crumbs & Doilies
This one is one of my all time favorites. If you haven't heard o Cupcake Jemma on Instagram, now is the perfect time to start! Crumbs and Doilies located in the heart of London and they have a wide selection of changing cupcake flavors. I love peanut butter cupcakes the most, but there are so many beautiful options I could try each one!
1 King's Court, London
Gail's Bakery
An old favourite, Gail's is a great bakery for the best coffee London and baked goods. There is also an all day lunch menu (until 3pm). If you want something a little warmer this is a great option.
128 Wardour Street, Soho, London
Ben's cake
This newer addition to my favorite London bakery may (definitely) have the best cakes in town. If you are more into cake then look no further. You'll find a wide variety of choices and the Covent Garden location is ideal for theater goers.
13A Piazza, Covent Park, London
Hummingbird Bakery
Finally, the cupcakes at Hummingbird Bakery are also a highlight of their selection of London baked goods. There are lots of takeaway items on offer here too!

At Santa Nata, pastel de nata is made fresh daily and served warm, with a crunchy pastry shell and a fluffy egg custard filling sprinkled with cinnamon. Other popular pastries at Santa Nata include “pastel de feijão”, peanut cookies, and “bola de berlim”, a donut-like cake filled with custard or jam. Apart from its pastries, Santa Nata also serves coffee and other drinks in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.
Bread from Home
If you're in Notting Hill, be sure to stop by Buns from Home and treat yourself to some cinnamon buns. This bakery serves nothing but bread all day long and if the line of customers goes on you better believe they are pretty good!
