The Chicago Police Department launched a death investigation after a body was found in the 9400 South LaSalle Street block in Princeton Park

CHICAGO (WLS) — A body was found in an abandoned vehicle on Chicago's South Side early Tuesday, police said.

Police said the unidentified woman's body was found in block 9400 of the Princeton Park neighborhood on South LaSalle Street at around 9:40 am. His body was in the driver's seat, and his age has not been determined.

Detectives are investigating the death, pending autopsy results.

Police did not immediately provide further information.
