WHEATON, Pain (WLS) — The hit-and-run victim's family has turned to the public for more information about his death.

Paige Donahue of the western suburb of Wheaton was hit and killed by a vehicle on Roosevelt Road near her Crest Street home just after 8 pm on January 2, 2023, according to the Wheaton Police Department.

Palucci describes Donahue as a happy person who loved to sing and dance as if no one was watching. Donahue was supposed to get married in May.

On the night she died, the 31-year-old woman was wearing a bright pink jacket and was walking home after leaving a nearby 7-11, police said.

According to the Wheaton Police Department, multiple 911 calls were made by motorists passing that night that described a woman lying in the road. The good Samaritan stopped to provide assistance and the Wheaton Police and Fire Department arrived on the scene. Donahue was transported to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the hit-and-run did not stop, try to help Donahue, or call the police, said the Wheaton Police Department.

Palucci hoped the driver or someone who knew more about the night would come forward.

“There is a void in our family,” said Palucci. “Every picture from now on is not for everyone, not for everyone.”
